Hernandez Family: Disneyland 2009

Before Miss Hayden joined us Scott and I used to take a vacation every summer, we have been to Hawaii (4 times), Cancun, Costa Rica, you see the trend...so this year when it came time to plan vacation it was very difficult. Scott wanted to go camping...I wanted to do something that did not require so much work. We ended up compromising and spending 3 days camping at the lake (Labor Day) and 3 days at Disneyland. Granted both were a lot of work (especially since I am pregnant), but at Disneyland I didn't have to cook, clean, or make any beds.

Even though it was the end of September it was 100 degrees everyday we were there and felt worse. Scott had to do most of the work because I couldn't ride very many rides and I am a lot bigger and slower than usual. He gets the "Best Daddy" award since he got stuck doing the pushing of the stroller, chasing, holding, and riding of rides, not to mention keep me cool, hydrated, fed, and rested. All in all we had a great time and Hayden had a blast and asked to go to Mickey's house a million times after we got home.

Her favorites were: Toontown, Dumbo (rode 3 times), Carousel (rode 6 times), Small World (rode 3 times), Pirates of the Caribbean (rode 3 times and feel asleep twice), Bugs World at California Adventure. Things she didn't like: Most of the characters, Pinocchio, Toad's Wild Ride, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh.

Here are some of my favorite pictures...Scott is working on a video scrapbook too. Once it is done I will post it. You can't miss the video of Hayden getting in a boxing match with Mickey...it's the best.

Riding the train. Hayden fell asleep on it so we ended up riding it around the park 3 times for an hour just to rest. I feel asleep too...but I am not going to show you that picture!
