Halloween 2009

Thank goodness Halloween landed on a Saturday! By the end of the night we were exhausted, I don't even know how you would do it if it landed on a week day.

Our day started early, we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez (forgot the camera), then Grandma and Papa Yoder, then Mor Mor, Nana Norma and Papa Charlie and by the time we were done with that it was already 6:30. We were going to go home and eat dinner but decided to take Hayden to "trick treat" to our 3 closest neighbors first. She did really good...except she walked right into all their houses like she owned the place and made herself comfortable...we are going to have to work on that. Then we came home and Hayden started crying so Scott took her out to hit a few more houses while I stayed home and passed out candy. Scott said by the last house she had it down, knock on the door, say "trick treat", take the candy put it in the pail (she had to do it herself), say "thank you" then "bye bye" and move on to the next house. They didn't get home until after 7:00 so we had a really late dinner but Hayden had a great time!

It was warm out when we started so we opted for the candy corn and short sleeve shirt!

She only went to 8 houses but her bucket was full, I guess being cute gets you extra!
The next morning she wanted to put her costume back on, its hard to tell but those are her PJ's underneath. She would walk to our door knock, and say "trick treat" and ask for candy...fun game we taught her huh!
She got upset when I wouldn't take her outside so she was calling Mor Mor to see if she would take her "trick treating", because you know how it goes if Momma says no Mor Mor will say yes! I don't mean that in a bad way, but Hayden is already smart enough to know it is worth a try!
