Tis the season to be busy (with no free time or jammy days)!! Yes that's right we are officially booked up every weekend from Thanksgiving until New Year's...hence the 4 week post Thanksgiving blog post about Thanksgiving! We weren't very good about taking pictures this year, usually we do a family shot but we just had our pictures taken by a real photographer so I guess we skipped it this year. We had a busy day visiting family and giving thanks for all of the blessings life has offered us. I talked to the girls a lot about being thankful and what it meant and Hayden really got it. She was thankful everyone and everything this year, including "her silly little sister that drives her crazy sometimes". That is a good start!
We did get a picture of the girls before we left the house! Cutie pies!
Our favorite activity at Ohma and Papa's house...playing Just Dance. Yes that is me in the background with my head cut off. The girls definitely out danced me though...they can boogie!
Saturday night there was Hockey (one of the things we are thankful for). Hayden always gives Colonel Clawd big hugs...Olivia usually just waves!
It was teddy bear toss so we brought teddy bears to throw out on the ice for a toy drive. I was afraid the girls weren't going to be willing to part with them.
Especially since they didn't score their first goal until well into the 3rd period.
But the girls "let the bears fly" and threw them out on the ice along with everyone else!
Then we decided to get our Christmas lights up and the girls wanted to help....I would have much rather stayed in the nice warm house but the girls wouldn't take no for an answer.
They even got up on the ladder to help Daddy (or they just wanted to see Mommy freak out)!
Finally we finished...Yes that is a 12 foot Santa in our front yard that the girls LOVE!
It was a long and busy weekend! But...I am thankful for these two precious girls and all the joy the bring to our lives. I wish we had more time for cuddling but I will take what I can get I guess!
