You can only threaten so many times that Santa is watching and will not bring you presents if you don't behave, it doesn't take long for the girls to give us the "really" look every time we said it. Have you ever seen the "really" look? It's of those looks that make you want to ground them and laugh them at the same time so when the elf on the shelf showed up on our door step I thought it was worth a try! If you don't know how it works, Santa can't see everything all the time so he sends one of his elves to live with you and watch you for Santa. Every night she goes back to the North Pole and reports back to Santa and comes back in a new spot so she can see everything!!!
Meet our elf Elphaba (yes the wicked witch from Wicked) I love her name!
She has returned in some interesting places....it was really warm last week and she missed the cold so she spent some time in the freezer. Yes this stirred a thousand questions about how she can see us from INSIDE the freezer, but it doesn't have to make sense it's magic right? Tell that to a skeptical 4 year old!
At the very least they love looking for her every morning to see where she could be hiding!
Where she is doesn't matter, she is always watching!
