Lake Nacimiento 2013

I am getting terrible at blogging!! Okay there I admitted it!! At least it is better late than never. Every year I dread this stinking "vacation" that is really a camping trip where you can never get clean unless you are submerged in the lake or shower but as soon as you step out you are completely dirty again. But that all gets over shadowed by the enormous amount of fun we have, so much fun that my cheeks usually hurt from laughing so hard! Of course we have hundreds of pictures so you will have to watch the video to see them all and these will have to do for now!

This is our spot! Best spot on the lake with sandy shores and hidden in the cove it's beautiful looking down. Unfortunately looking up you stare straight up a hill that is murder on the legs after 4 days!

Our crew enjoying the water!

Olivia always takes a while before she will go into the water so she was stuck on my lap the first few days.

Hayden has grown to LOVE the jet skis and took more than her fair share of turns riding them!

We had a few extra campers at the campground, they even ate bread right out of Magenta's hand.

I think this was only half the ice chests... It takes a lot of ice chests to keep drinks for 50 people cold!

The kiddos! I swear these kids have so much fun on this trip, if it wasn't for them I don't think we would do it.

Scott's cousin Magenta was heading from California back home to South Carolina but we kidnapped her and made her come camping with us!

She did art projects with the kids and helped them all make garden hats.

Aren't those hats cute!!

The girls had a blast playing at the lake.

Check out the awesome sandman the kids made!

Olivia and Logan are best buddies hanging out with their momma's!

Eventually we got them to play in the sand but thy never strayed far from each other!

I can't wait until these two are old enough to drive themselves around the lake!

Awe he was a tired little boy after following Olivia around all day!

Let the night time shenanigans begin.. I love that the kids create their own circle and tell stories just like the adults!

These two are soul sisters, I see so much of Hayden in Magenta, curly hair, fun loving, crafty, life of the party and everyone loves to be around them. Heck they even walk the same! They are totally related!

We celebrated Kailee's 5th birthday, aren't they the cutest family!

The kids waiting patiently for the piñata... Every year we say we are going to do it before it gets dark... It never happens!

This piñata didn't last very long, sadly only a few kids got to hit it before it busted!

You like how I am holding the light and there is tons of candy but the kids can't see it? We really have to do this when it's still light outside!!

People be getting crazy after dark!

Especially this one.... Who taught her this?

Of course it wouldn't be the best camping trip ever without all our friends and family!

We are so grateful for all of our wonderful friends and family that make this "vacation" totally worth it!
