Utah for the 24th of July

Every year when I was a kid we went to Utah for the 24th of July. I will always remember it as the best time ever...eating grandma's food, chasing candy at the parade, playing with the cousins, and jumping on the trampoline until you felt sick. Now that I am all grown up I wanted Hayden to expierence the 24th like I remember, so I conviced my grandma to have everyone over so we could go to the parade and get together just like old times! Thank goodness I did because it was a blast and I hope to make it an annual family tradition....again.

We had a great time and did all of the things that I remember as a kid only now I am grown up and all my cousins are grown up and we watched our kids have all the fun. If it wasn't for that 11 hour car ride I would go there all the time!

Here are some pictures from our trip!

Mitchell's Bday Party - Rachel and the adorable Mr. Mac.

Hayden swimming with Papa.

Brecken and Gracen jumping to Nate...they were freezing but didn't want to stop swimming.

Hayden loved the parade, she waved at all the people and danced to the music, and was sad when it was over and we had to leave.

All the kids waiting for the parade to start...yes there are a lot of us!Hayden didn't really understand chasing candy, she just was having fun being there.

Chilling with her Uncle Jared....her fav.

They had floats.....

....and pink tractors

Mommy and Hayden
It's over already?
After the parade we went to Grandpa Bob's and Grandma Carol's for yummy food, swimming, jumping and visiting.
All the kids on the tramp...yes they have the hose and are getting it wet. If I recall correctly we were not allowed to do this when I was a kid!
Great Grandkids - I think 13 and 4 on the way...2 are missing from this picture.
Hayden became a climber when we were there, she mastered the steps off the back porch, every chair in sight and the rock climbing wall at the park. Grandma stayed behind her to make sure she didn't fall. It was at least 8 foot tall and made mommy very nervous.
A little further....
A little further....
Almost there....
Yay the top!Only now, the only way to get down is the big slide!
Hayden and Grandpa Bob...she always had to know where he was and would look in his room first then the chair which she would try to get him to get out of so she could climb into it.
Jumping on the tramp before breakfast...the best time because we were the only ones up and didn't have to share.
Husking/Eating corn on the cob...Hayden decided it was just as good raw.

Playing in the pool with all her clothes on....Grandma's what are you going to do with them?

It was really fun to see you! I haven't done the 24th tradition for a while either, so it was nice to bring it back.
