Olivia's Turning One!

This time last year, I was huge pregnant in bed with the worst sinus infection counting the days until 2.0 arrived (remember she didn't get named until she was 2 days old). Little did I know how much joy (and sleepless nights) she would bring to our lives. Now she is turning one and I am sad that she is growing so fast. I think when you have your first child you want them to grow up fast and are excited for them to reach all the important milestones. With Olivia I feel the opposite, I don't want her to grow up. I want her to stay my little snugly cuddle muffin forever.

Olivia is our little brown straight haired, hazel eyed princess who doesn't like to sleep or eat baby food anymore!

She is much tinyer than Hayden ever was. She is still wearing 9 months clothes and is just about ready to go into 12 so all those hand me downs that I thought I would never get to use have come in handy.
She loves to laugh. We always joke that she laughs like a stoner or like Squints on Sandlot. It is kind of a delayed laugh starts out small and gets bigger.

She started walking at 10 months and says so many words now. Her favorites are Hi and Bye every time someone enters or leaves the room and Thank You. I love that she is already learning to be polite.

Olivia is definitely shy. She is leery of strangers and prefers that only Scott and I hold her. If other people are around she will stick close to us and bury her head in our chest and hide. Completely opposite of her sister!

She is the sweetest most huggable cuddling baby ever. When she hugs you she wraps her arms around your neck and squeezes so tight and ends by patting your back and saying Ahhh. It is the best feeling ever. She also sleeps best snuggled up with us. By herself she tosses and turns and wakes up constantly. She also loves giving kisses. If you say the word kiss, hug, or love she knows that means kisses are coming and smacks her lips together and comes right for you. I love it!
She loves and adores her big sister! She wants to do whatever Hayden is doing and wants to learn from her everyday. Hayden looks after her and makes sure that no one pushes her around, except her that is.
