I am once again behind on blogging and of course right when you are all waiting for me to post all the fun we had at Melissa and Freddy's wedding. I apologize, it took a while to recover. So after a long engagement and 2 other wedding ceremonies (in India and at the Hindu temple) the day finally arrived for Melissa and Freddy to get married in front of ALL their friends and family. We were all very excited and happy to make the trip down for all the festivities. I was the Matron of Honor and the girls were flower girls. Scott was the official videographer and candid picture taker. I will post his montage video up as soon as it was done. Here is the thing I realized after this weekend, weddings are a lot of work! Now I know why people elope!
Rehearsal
So the rehearsal was the night before and we learned what all of our duties would be. The girls were very excited to be flower girls. Hayden especially and was so excited to be able to throw flowers on the ground, but I am not sure she even knew what that meant. All good reasons to practice!

Olivia and Hayden practicing the aisle walk.

Olivia wasn't so sure about walking down the aisle holding hands with a boy after all.

Hayden of course had no problem doing it. This is Ian the Ring bearer.

Olivia spent most of the weekend in this exact spot on Daddy's leg. She is such a Daddy's girl!

Having dinner. I told them to get their picture smiles ready because all the fun was about to begin!

Freddy got all his groomsmen swords. Hopefully they all made it home with them and nobody got hurt in the process.
Wedding Day
So it's a funny story now, but the day of the wedding I was in a complete panic. Hayden did not want to go to sleep at all. Finally at about 11, I had to wrap her up and rock her (all 35 lbs of her) to get her to finally fall asleep. Not 5 minutes later did Olivia throw up, all over the bed all over Scott. She threw up all night long. Scott handles throw up so much better than me because he stayed up with her and took care of her all night long. About 5 am I started throwing up. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Thankfully by the time we were supposed to start getting ready we were feeling so much better!

Melissa crocheting the girls shrugs on her wedding day! A brides job is never done!

Hayden all ready to go!

Olivia was dressed but walking down the aisle was not going to happen. She was attached to Daddy like glue. But she looked cute!

Melissa gave the girls stickers to occupy them during the ceremony, when I told Hayden she couldn't put them where anyone could see them guess where they went...yep on her tummy. She wore them the entire night! I forgot all about them until it was time for jammies.

Finally the ceremony!

The wedding party

Papa & Ohma

I love this picture of us!

Hayden holding Aunt Lissa's flowers for her.

The photographer told us to be silly so we gave her wet willy's. Like any good sister would do!

Me and Olivia...the only appearance she made at the wedding.

Reception time...I couldn't wait for the cake!

The ballroom was gorgeous!

Olivia, Andrew, and Hayden waiting for the fun to begin!

Melissa's jewelry, a gift from Freddy's mom.

Hayden and Olivia playing under the table. They did exceptionally well considering the long day that we had and only eating yogurt bites and cheerios.

The flower girls and ring bearers were boogeying down before everyone arrived.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Freddy & Melissa Iyengar!!! Wahoo!

The first dance as husband and wife.

Awwww, and a kiss too!

The only family photo we got!

Me and Hayden dancing...she was a dancing machine!
It was a great day, wonderful party, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for letting us share it with you!
