The month of July I was super, super busy planning to "pretend" blow up my work building so that we could test our Business Continuity Plan to determine if we were prepared to work without a building or computer systems. I know too much information but I spent 6 months planning for a 4 hour event...needless to say we missed the 24th in Utah and I was in desperate need of a vacation so Scott surprised me with a date night at Disneyland. It was exactly what I needed! We got to do all the "grown up" stuff that we don't get to do when we have the girls.
We rode the new Star Wars ride 4 yes 4 times. It is different every time and you get to wear these cool 3D glasses. It is officially my new favorite ride!
We also rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in honor of my Grandma Llewellyn because one of my all time favorite Disneyland memories is her taking me on this when I was little. I believe she thought it was a nice little train ride...the train engine is very deceiving!
We also had the best dinner at one of the "fancy" restaurants that we would never dare take the girls to...turns out we were the only ones there with no children. We felt totally out of place without screaming kids throwing spaghetti on the floor!
We stood front row at World of Color which is this amazing show all over water...this was one of my favorite parts but it made me miss the girls!
We had a great time...just don't tell the girls we went without them. Hopefully by the time they are old enough to read this they won't care that we went without them!
