Halloween isn't one of my favorite holidays but I put up with the dress up and the candy for my children. Who am I kidding, Halloween means that they weather is changing and that Thanksgiving and Christmas (my favorite holidays) are right around the corner and heck who doesn't like candy! It seems like we pick Halloween costumes based on our current favorite movie, so this year our favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz and of course Hayden wanted to be Dorothy Gale. I wasn't sure what to do for Olivia because I didn't want her to be Todo (which many people recommended), the Wicked Witch, or a flying monkey which was a favorite costume of my brothers when we were young, but then my sister Melissa found a pattern for a Glinda the Good Witch costume and that was it. Dorothy and Glinda!!
I ordered Hayden's costume online but Melissa made Olivia's costume from scratch, she even made the crown.
Miss Dorothy likes to dress up and sing Over the Rainbow. It was a daily activity to prepare for Halloween...she needed to get in character!!
Miss Glinda just needed to look cute in her sparkly pink dress. Surprisingly she knew she needed a wand and would not wear the dress without it.
She even knew how to use it....apparently they have seen the movie one too many times!!
The Saturday before Halloween we went to our Cousin's Rian and Isabel's annual Halloween Party! It was so much fun, they had pizza which the bottomless pit loved!
We got to decorate trick or treat bags...
...and a photo booth!
We even learned to do the chicken dance! Look at daddy go (in the blue shirt)!

It was so much fun!! This is Hayden and Isabel...cousins/twinsies!
Sunday we had a jammy day to recover from the party and decorated pumpkins. These girls are serious artist when it comes to decorating, I could barely get them to look at the camera!
Finished products! Don't mind the band-aid on Hayden's forehead...I will explain that in another post!
Halloween night we went trick or treating around our block with our friend Kayla who was the most adorable Minnie Mouse.
Our next door neighbor Julie loves the girls and filled their buckets up with lots of goodies!!
They were so super doper excited about all the candy they got. They just couldn't believe it! Hayden said "Look at this Olivia, it's amazing, can you believe it, its like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in here" apparently another movie they watch too much!
Another great Halloween for the books. Now bring on the Turkey, Stuffing, and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy!!
