Easter 2012
I believe this is the first holiday where we spent the entire day at home! It was really nice not to have to be in a hurry to go anywhere and run around all over town and just enjoy the day and relax (well kind of). I cooked which I was really excited about, and we played outside, and did arts and crafts and had our own little egg hunt. All and all it was a great day however, I did miss hanging out with family and the girls chasing around with their cousins and all the hello and goodbye hugs, I will keep that in mind next time I decide to take on cooking by myself!
The Easter Bunny must love our little girls because they got lots of goodies and new outfits!
I knew this gate would come in handy, I caught the girls sneaking a peek at what the Easter Bunny left for them!
Happy Easter, cutest bunnies ever!!
So much stuff to look at and yes Olivia started off right away with the candy (bottomless pit)!
One of the crafts we did was make our own marshmallow peeps for dessert. I saw it on one of the blogs I follow and it was so easy and fun. All you do is take marshmallows and put them on sticks and dip them in warm water then roll them in fun sprinkles.
Surprisingly the sprinkles stick!! The girls had fun making them but even more fun eating them.
Then we had an egg hunt in the backyard. I put out every egg we had in the house, probably way too many but not all of them had candy just a few so they had to find them all to figure out which ones had candy and which didn't.
Patiently waiting to start!
So many eggs they were overwhelmed with where to start.
