Hayden turns 4

I can't believe it has been 4 years since our little Hayden joined our family.  Hayden is funny (super funny), sweet, kind, caring, loves playing with her little sister, eating spaghetti, and going to gymnastics. I am so grateful to have her in our lives.  Turning 4 was a big deal around our house this year because her birthday actually fell on her party day so we had fun all day.  Not only was she turning 4...she was starting preschool the next day so there was a lot of big changes.
We started the day off celebrating right away with presents.  Her new princess bike...loving the boots!

Before the bike....I had already bought her this Strawberry Shortcake playhouse and dolls which I was going to keep for a special day...until I realized I couldn't let Hayden ride the new bike in the house all day and Olivia was feeling a little left out so I pulled it out of my closet.  I know I am a sucker!
Cute Olivia all ready to celebrate her sister's birthday!
Hayden wanted a strawberry shortcake themed birthday so Mor Mor found the girls these super cute strawberry outfits.
Normally we have a big party with family and friends at our house but this year since Hayden was leaving daycare and starting preschool we decided to have a party for her and her friends from daycare and a few of her friends (sorry family).  She wanted to have it at Dewar's which is the best ice cream shop in town and now they have a party room equipped with games, a bounce house....
...and a walking piano like in the movie "Big".  It was so much fun and the kids had a blast playing!

Saddest/Hardest part of the day was saying goodbye to Barbie.  Barbie has taken care of Hayden since she was 9 months old, going to preschool was going to be a big adjustment for her and I don't think Hayden fully understood that until the next day.
Luckily, Olivia is still going to go Barbie's so Hayden will still get to see and visit her anytime she wants!
Best part of the party...Ice Cream!! Dewar's has the best ice cream ever in the universe and the kids got to make their own sundays.  Hayden got chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, and chocolate sprinkles (yum) and Olivia got vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, and chocolate sprinkles (yum) they were in heaven.
Chewy (the Dewar's chew) even came to wish Hayden a happy birthday and give high fives and hugs to all the kids!
They even gave her a shirt that said "I know how to party at Dewar's Ice Cream".  She was very excited.
Thanks to all the kids who came to celebrate with us on Hayden's special day, I hope you had as much fun as we did!
Last but not least...it's not a birthday without a birthday button and a ride in the teacups at Disneyland.  We went the next weekend to celebrate her birthday and our first week of school being over!  Look at that happy face...makes me happy just looking at it!
