San Diego 2012

I have been so good about not getting behind on blogging then summer came and our vacation and now I am behind.  So forgive me, back in May we took our annual "camping" vacation in our motorhome with our friends Luke, Renee and Dylan last year we went to Lake Tahoe and had a blast, this year we decided to go to San Diego and it was just as much fun.  I think we are going to try to switch off between the two each year until the boys get bored and find a new place for us to go!  So here is what happened on our trip....

The girls LOVE camping...little do they know what we do is not technically considered camping!  I mean we go to amusement parks during the day, eat at fun restaraunts we have never been to, sit by a fire at night watching tv (yes we have a tv we hook up outside), and then sleep in a nice warm comfy bed.  I can't wait for the day they get to experience real camping...that should be fun!

The girls hanging out by the campfire watching TV!

Hanging out at the beach...Dylan, Olivia, and Hayden.  FYI, the girls kind of scare Dylan...he isn't quite sure how to take them and they are not used to boys running away from them which makes them chase him more!
We spent one day at Sea World, this was our second time there.  It is a lot of fun, I think Shamu is our favorite part.

Hayden insisted on sitting in the "splash zone" where Shamu splashes the crowd, she wasn't too happy when she ended up soaking wet haha!
One of our other favorite things is feeding the Sea Lions.  They have these little feeder holes and you put the fish in it and the Sea Lions put their mouth in it and take it from your hand...it was hilarious to watch.
We also got to meet Elmo and Cookie Monster.  Olivia of course was scared and the only way she would take a picture is if she sat on Hayden's lap (awe).
We also saw lots of fish in the many aquariums they have, I loved this picture of the girls. I didn't realize I dressed them the same...so cute!
Official group photo (they only way we can get one of the 4 of us)!

We also spent 2 days (with a relax day in between) at Legoland.  This was our first time to Legoland and I must say, I was plesantly suprised how much fun the girls had considering they are not big fans of Lego's.  But now we have lego's all over our house...not sure if that is a good thing yet considering I step on the suckers constantly.
They have some fun rides, like this lego sky car that takes you all over the park.
And a safari tour that takes you through a jungle with animals all made of lego's (that is not an animal but I thought she was cuter than them).
And some jousting ride where Hayden got to joust (your guess is as good as mine on this one but she had fun).
And a boat ride with fairy tale characters made out of lego's (again, I liked this picture much better).
The best part about Legoland is that there are lego's everywhere that you can play with.  While you are waiting in lines for rides and in random buckets in all the "lands".  It was nice to let the girls stop and take a break and play for a while so they didn't get too bored.

These are different parts of what they call "Mini Land"  all of these pictures are of items completely constructed of lego's.  They were awesome to look at and see all the detail they had put into them.  There were even lego people and moving parts and music that went along with them.
They also had a whole "Star Wars" land with all kinds of star wars replica's this was my favorite pic of the trip!  The girls with "Garth Yader" as the girls call him!

Official group photo!

See ya in 2014 San Diego!
