Fiesta Days 2012

Fiesta Days otherwise known as the 24th of July is one of my favorite times of the year!  Not only do we get to travel to Utah, we get to participate in all the Fiesta Days activities and do it with all of our cousins and Utah family that we don't see very often.  This year there was no exception to the fun, we did a TON of stuff and kept busy the whole time we were there.  I would love to share everything but....we took over 1,200 pictures and I can't share them all so here are some of my favorites!
The view from the front porch....I love this view...I wish I got to see it more often!!

Love those smiles!  The girls (like me) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Utah and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma Llewellyn and all of our cousins.  They also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, jumping on the trampoline.  I know I am not looking up in this picture but I couldn't pass up those big smiles!
First up, the kids parade.  The kids get to decorate and ride their bikes down Center street to the park to play games and have some fun.  We just watched but it was a blast!
After the parade, we went to the park to play games and ride rides at the carnival!  BTW, they had a fish rodeo where you get in this pool and catch a fish with your bare hands...Hayden didn't do it but she wanted her picture taken with one of the boys fishes that they caught in the Rodeo!
Next up was the Rodeo...the real Rodeo!  This was the first time we had ever been to the Rodeo and it was a lot of fun, I think we are going to add it to our list of things to do for the 24th for sure!
They had little sheep's for the kids to ride, Hayden had a blast riding it!
Ever so patriotic!!  They know exactly what to do!

Funniest part by far of the entire Rodeo was the clown in a fat suit trying to ride a horse! It was hilarious.

Olivia wasn't so sure about them roping and wrestling the cows, she was very concerned about the cows!  Yes I am making silly faces!
Family Shot!!
Next up was the Zoo!  This was our first time to venture into Salt Lake and our first time to Hogle Zoo...our entire family filled up the train.....can you see us all?
Love this picture of me and the girls!!
We attempted to get a picture with all the kids....its harder than wrangling them than the fish at the fish rodeo I think some are hanging out behind the gorilla!
The zoo was great, they had giraffe's, elephants, rhino's, tigers, gorilla's, all kinds of monkey's (not including our kids), polar bears, and lots of other fun stuff.  Definitely going to go there again!

We also went to Blake and Gaylen's house to swim and play with all our cousins (well most of them we are missing some)....trying to get group pictures with these kids is almost impossible...but we tried!
Me and my girl cousins, Jenny, Rachel, Me, Bonny, Molly, and Abbey (we are missing Lexie).  Can you believe all those kiddo's up there belong to us?  Yep, it's true!
My favorite picture from that day...the girls showing off their skills and the A-man showing off his muscles!
We just had to make a second trip to the carnival to make sure we got our fill of the rides, this time we went with the boys!
For the main event, we went to the Parade!!!  This is our whole group, all lined up waiting for the show!
First up and most important, our cousin Ambrie is an attendant in the Little Miss Spanish Fork (I realize it is hard to pick her out but she is dead center on the float in the pink dress!  There was lots of cheering as she passed by us!
There are tons of floats and entries in the parade but this was my favorite!  It was beautiful.
Hey we know him, well not really he was the Rodeo clown and all the horses behind him were the Rodeo "guys" I am not sure what their official titles are.  He was nice enough to stop and talk to us and make sure we had fun at the Rodeo.
After the parade we went back to Grandpa and Grandma's to swim and slip-n-slide and jump and eat (yum)!
Todd and Ashley even brought their shaved ice machine and made everyone shaved ice (yum)!
We even attempted to get some group pictures....great grand kids with Grandpa and Grandma.

Grandkids with Grandpa and Grandma.
Kids with Grandpa and Grandma...and Gracen giving Blake bunny ears!
Us with Grandpa and Grandma!
I almost forgot about this...but then we all got together the night again to watch Steve's fireworks show!

But my favorite picture of the whole trip.....
I know the coloring is off, but some how we managed to get a picture with Grandpa and Grandma not only smiling but also laughing AND they have their eyes open (Hooray Scott)!

Phew, that was a lot of stuff.  This is my absolute favorite time of year ever and I am so happy we get to spend it with all of our family and have a ton of fun....only 11 months until Fiesta Days 2013!
