It's hot where we live...over 100 degrees in the middle of summer...this weekend it was 111. So we have to come up with fun things to do so that we are not trapped in the house all day but will keep us cool. Swimming doesn't count because we do that all the time and the girls get bored of that. So I have come up with a solution that benefits everyone....we wash all the toys in the backyard. They play in the water it keeps them cool, and we clean up at the same time!
So busy washing that they can't even look at me.
Just in case it gets too hot you can always swim in the bucket I guess.
Once the cars are all clean we move onto the bikes!
Olivia making sure her car is extra clean!
Andrew (our cousin) had a birthday this month! He turned the big 11. He had a big party with a huge water slide and lots of boys....except these two!
Not long after his birthday Andrew headed out to Arkansas to compete in the 10U Little League World Series. We are so excited and proud of him and his team!
In other sad news....Uncle Travis has officially moved away. We took him out to dinner before he left...the girls (and us) are sure going to miss him!
Travis will be attending the University of Colorado Denver and is going to be getting a degree in Computer Science and Engineering with an emphasis in developing video games (I am not sure what the official name for that is). We are very excited and proud of him and can't wait to go visit him...hopefully someday!
