Hayden is only 3 and a half months and her little personality is already shining through. Since I have been back at work and I don't spend every waking moment with her, I really notice how she is growing and changing so fast :( . It has come to our attention that she is a tad stubborn and very independent. Both traits Scott and I each possess in our own way. A few weeks ago, she started to attempt to roll over. If you tried to help her she would get mad and grunt at you. She wanted to do it all on her own. She has since given up on that escapade and is now working on sitting up. She doesn't like to lie down anymore, she wants to be sat up so she can see everything that is going on. Like the rolling over fiasco, she doesn't want to sit on your lap or be snuggled by the bobby. She wants to be sitting up all on her own which she can't do yet so I had Scott put together her high chair so that we could strap her in and she can see everything.
I know, I know, it swallows her, but she wanted to sit up all on her own. Now she can sit with us while we eat dinner and not be down on the floor all the time...since she can't be up on the couch or in her swing without us close by (remember the rolling over fiasco? always happens when we leave her alone for one second).
Another new thing we learned, she likes to hold her bottle all by herself. She has only been taking a bottle for two weeks, but she is bound and determined to feed herself.

Oh she is getting so big and as adorable as ever! Isn't it great how they want to do everything independently, even from such a young age. Brecken was the same way. He sat UNassisted at 4 months crawled at 6.5 months and walked at 10 months!!! I don't remember people telling me they became independent so fast...I thought he would be my baby for at least a little while longer!
Don't ever plan on that independence thing ending. I don't think it ever does. Especially for girls.
She is darling!!! Just wait though...if you think she's independent now you've really got something coming for you!
