Bugseum and Summer Project

Not far from our house there is a place called Insect Lore the Bugseum. It is a museum (really just a store with bugs in aquariums) with different bug stuff for you to look at and purchase. If you ever seen the commercial where you can send away for your very own butterfly kit where you can watch a caterpillar turn into a butterfly before your very own eyes, this is the place that makes them and ships them only we got to go there and pick them out ourselves. They also raise and create butterfly's, ladybugs, ants and other bugs for people all over the world to use on their crops so it is kind of like a science lab too. It was a really cool place and we had fun learning about lots of bugs. You can learn more about it at http://insectlore.com/.

Of course we couldn't leave without getting our very own kit. It's our summer project, to watch the metamorphosis of the caterpillar.

This is day 4 they are starting to get nice a fat, they were just little specs the day we got them! I will keep you posted on their progress.
